"BUILDING OMEGA
FOR
OMEGA MEN"
I am running not to make a point, but to make a difference.
I greet you in the matchless and merciful name of the Supreme Basileus of the Universe.
I am Brother Glenn E. Rice, the 30th Eighth District Representative and it is with great humility that I officially announce my candidacy for the Grand Keeper of Records and Seal of our beloved Fraternity.
My aspiration for seeking this position of servant leadership is not for self-aggrandizement but because of my love for Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
This desire is coupled with my selfless willingness to give the time, energy, and effort to promote efficiency and effectiveness for this critical office.
I cast my name into this lot because I love Omega and I believe our Fraternity needs, on the international level, is the promotion of friendship and brotherly affection synchronized with the capacity to handle the administrative tasks with honesty, humility, and honor.
As the Grand Keeper of Records and Seal, I will create an environment that is responsive, accountable, and transparent and built on open, honest communication.
Prior to being elected the 30th Eighth District Representative, I served three terms as District Keeper of Records and Seal and six years as KRS for Omicron Xi in Kansas City, Kan. and various other district and international committees. I am fully aware and remain sensitive of the duties and challenges of this office on a district and local chapter level.
We will use quarterly conference calls with District Keepers of Records and Seal to provide administrative updates, training, and share ideas so we can replicate successful programs. We will utilize enhanced technology to establish video teleconferencing, conduct webinars; improve chapter administrative forms; work with the reclamation and retention committees to identify and retain brothers whose memberships have expired; find creative ways to address our present economic conditions to provide alternatives for brothers to pay their annual membership dues. We will update the current KRS manual to reflect current administrative and operational matters.
As the Grand Keeper of Records and Seal, I will be accessible, reliable and responsive.
As Omega enter its centennial, it is a critical time for our Fraternity and we need leaders who have no personal agendas, not bound by geography, who will display an enduring, unselfish commitment to getting us back to realizing the unifying dream of our Founders.
I humbly seek your prayers, your support and your votes to be elected the Grand Keeper of Records and Seal for our beloved Fraternity.
